About Me
Hello, and thanks for taking a look at my site.
I’m a dynamic and versatile communications
professional with extensive experience in leading
proactive communications and creating informative
social and community content with the aim of boosting
audience engagement.
I've written new stories, video scripts, blog posts, as well as
created video and photo content for various social media
outlets.
I attribute those skills to my broadcasting background. My career began as an Associate Producer at Pittsburgh's NBC-Affiliate, WPXI. From there, I went to Albany, New York, and did some freelance journalism work in Washington, DC. I've produced morning, evening and weekend newscasts. I covered a range of stories from major local events to live coverage of the Boston Marathon bombers chase.
I also created written and video content for the station websites, which ultimately led to me transition to the social media world. I've developed and promoted social media campaigns, copy, photo, and video content to enhance user engagement across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Google. I've incorporated diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in my work as well. I created a blog series titled #SheDrivesCochran, highlighting the accomplishments of female colleagues, the work of women in a male-dominated industry, as well as increase interest in the automotive field with advice from the interviewees.
I received my bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Point Park University. There, I worked as a Video Editor at The Innocence Institute of Point Park University. I received my master's degree in Strategic Communication from Chatham University. I also have a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of South Florida.
Feel free to take a look at some of my samples. You can contact me at the phone number or email address listed above to discuss specific projects or request a quote. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
